In three days I will be running the Skunk Cabbage Half for the second time. This wil be the first time I have run a race with a very specific time goal I want to achieve. I have been training hard ever since the last time I ran this race and I am in the best shape of my life. That said I am still nervous. What if I fail? I have… Read More

As runners I we are all excited when we see that a race we are running will have a photographer. It is great to be able to have our photographs taken while we do something we love. We don’t have to try to take selfies for this one. We will have memories created for us of this achievement. It’s a nice feeling. We wait patiently or perhaps impatiently for the photos to… Read More

They will all be posted online soon for the runners to see…. Read More

Why Run? For exercise. For fun. For peace. For solitude. For energy. For fitness. For health. For a cause. For friends. To see new things. To have new experiences. To be part of a community. To share in something. Who cares why, just run.

This year I have been focusing mostly on longer type runs. My shorter runs are usually 5-6 miles with long runs of 13 miles at least once a month, since last October. Yesterday the plan was to run 10 miles. I didn’t get there. I didn’t feel right the whole run and ended it with only 8 miles. It never feels good for me to end short of my goal. Today I… Read More

When you are photographer and a runner. You photograph running events and then get to share photographs of your friends running in those events.

Last night I set a running challenge for myself to complete this morning. I had no specific goals in mind regarding pace or anything. I had one simple target. Finish the run and, spoiler alert, I did. I finished one of my most challenging runs to date. I have been wanting to start running more trail runs and run distances of half marathon or a little more. My biggest challenge has been… Read More

I spent Thanksgiving Morning volunteering at the Southern Tier Running Club Pie and Glove 5K. I photographed the event for the organization and posted the photos online for all the participants to see. Here are a few that I liked.
