I really appreciate having place so close to home where I can go and just enjoy some scenic nature views. Tanglewood Nature Center has been a valuable resource for me to find peace and relaxation in nature. Help support Tanglewood by running the Run For The Hills! challenge on the Red Trail at Tanglewood or donate to support Ben’s Long Run to help raise money to support Tanglewood.
With the fall season upon us most of my opportunities to hit the trails will be on the weekend. So its back to back days of hard runs on the red trail at Tanglewood Nature Center. Red Trail Attempt 2 We have been having some unusually warm weather for the season here in upstate New York. Temperatures have been in the 70’s. How do I celebrate the great weather. I’ve been wanting to do more evening and sunset photography. Recently I headed to Tanglewood Nature Center to see if I could capture some sunset and evening images.

It was cold but mostly sunny this morning. I thought I would… Read More

There are always people looking to throw shade on your home town and focus on the negative and dismiss the positive. Don’t let those people bring you down. Don’t let them… Read More
I spent some time volunteering with the Southern Tier Running Club‘s youth club SOAR at their monthly kids fun run providing photography. It is always nice to see all the kids, parents, coaches, and SOAR athletes that come out for these fun community events. Enjoy the photos.
I may have met many of my friends through running but we are all so much more than runners. For me I am among other things a photographer. One of my friends I’ve met through running works in one of the most challenging fields you can, mental health. She puts on what I consider a very important community event. This year I was fortunate enough to be a part of this event… Read More
Since I began training for my 50K in the beginning of January I have yet to run any trails. Trail running is my favorite kind of running and my training is to prepare me for a trail marathon and then a 50K, so I have really been itching to get on the trails. So far timing or weather or any other of life’s many variables have conspired to keep me from trails…. Read More
