So many fun and exciting things in the works for 2026. Running and biking and SWIMMING (what the heck!) But two of the things I am most excited about have nothing to do with my personal running and fitness. In 2026 I am starting my second year being on the board of the Southern Tier Running Club (STRC) again. Our running club has many fun things going on as always. But for… Read More

In November I have had a couple of opportunities to photograph some races. It is always a fun experience to be out on a race course and capture the moments of runners putting in the effort. In early November I was out on the course for the Revenge of the Red Baron. One of the most challenging events the Southern Tier Running Club has to offer. Then at the end of the… Read More

I am going to say something that a my younger self would never thought possible. I love running. My first love in sports was baseball. Then I developed a love of football and played football throughout high school. But developing a new sports love as an adult is a whole new joyful experience. Welcome to my life running.

Looking back on 2024 I realize that I ran more races than I thought I had. In running we have a way of really focusing oin a our big goals. That “A” race we spent all year targeting and train gin for. Did we hit that goal. It is really easy to lose sight of everything else we did that year. This can be especially true if our big goals doen’t come… Read More

I really did not have this on my BINGO card a year ago. As little as months ago I was just focused on trying to get healthy, stay healthy, and hopefully finish my first ultramarathon in over two years. I just wanted to have a good solid year of running culminating in one big event to cap it off. As I started to feel better and believe maybe I could actually finish… Read More

In what appears to be on its way to becoming an annual tradition I have been at the Mighty Mosquito 99 event 3 out of the last 4 years. My first appearance was in 2021 to attempt the solo 100 mile event. And then I have been back twice to participate in the relay with a great group of friends. And I probably would have been there 4 years in a row… Read More

I love it when I have an opportunity to photograph a trail race. One of my favorites is the Hills Creek Challenge. This is an event that is a timed race instead of a set distance. Runners can choose between 3, 6, and 12 hours. Durring whatever time they choose runners will try to complete as many laps as they can or want. Runners traverse a 3 mile loop around a beautiful… Read More

Sharp Top 50k/25k for 2024 was shaping up to be a doozy well before the race even happened. The race directors and volunteers pulled out all the stops just to make sure this race could actually happen this year. The race takes place in the forest surrounding the ghost town of Masten, PA. It is a very remote area. There are few roads in and out of the area and few races… Read More

I love running. And as much as I love running I love photographing running even more. I was recently asked to join the amazing crew that puts on the Worlds End Ultras at Worlds End State Park as one of their photographers for the race. I fell in love with Worlds End State Park while training for and running the 2018 Worlds End Ultra 50k. I have been back to this park… Read More

I recently ran the Finger Lakes Running Club Skunk Cabbage Classic. I have run this race several times in the past. This years race would be different for me. Different from my previous Skunk Cabbage races and different than most half marathons I have run in a while. 2024 is a new year with new experiences on deck.
