Running has brought me a lot of things over the years. One of the most important things running has brought into my life is friendship and community. After several years of battling a variety of different nagging injuries that have kept me from being as much of a part of the running community as I would want to be I was feeling a little lost in my pursuit of running. I really did not have this on my BINGO card a year ago. As little as months ago I was just focused on trying to get healthy, stay healthy, and hopefully finish my first ultramarathon in over two years. I just wanted to have a good solid year of running culminating in one big event to cap it off. As I started to feel better and believe maybe I could actually finish… Read More

Last year I logged fewer miles in general and probably a lot l fewer than years past miles on trails. I was battling injuries most of the year so my running had to be really conservative. Trying to… Read More

New trails are almost always the best trails. This is never more true for me than in this year. On my quest to do a lot of new to me running I have been fortunate enough to log so many miles in places I have not run or raced before. I have been wanting to run the FLRC trail circuit for years. But year after year a commitment to a race I… Read More

I don’t run a lot of road races, but I like to run a half marathon each year. For me the half marathon is the perfect distance on the road. It really hits the sweet spot. Just the right amount of challenge no matter how you are approaching it. Apparently Skunk Cabbage Classic by the Finger Lakes Running Club has become my annual tradition. It is not a particularly easy course and… Read More

You can follow the link below to Facebook gallery I have created. Feel free to share the photos with your friends…. Read More
