I love all dogs but can we just admit that Bernese Mountain Dogs are the most gorgeous creatures ever.

I just wanted to stop and quickly share a photo I love as I am sorting and editing photos I have taken.

Over the weekend our ten year old Bernese Mountain Dog was involved in an accident and required some extensive surgery. His surgery included fixing broken bones with hardware and repairing a dislocated hip. There was a broken bone in his foot, in his lower leg. The dislocated hip required a femoral head osteotomy.

The more I develop myself over the years the more I learn that things I love and that are important to me fit together. I have been a long time dog lover. Today my father invited me to go down to the Chemung River with him and his dog Sparky and hang out. I always enjoy a chance to hang out with my dad. Things only get better when you add the opportunity to be out in nature and to be around a dog.

  I loved my time photographing this old man dog, Luke, back in 2014. He was such a joy. It is great to see it when an older dog still has the spark.
