Here’s the thing. There is so much happening in the world. Too much. We are all on overload. We want to stay informed but wee are bombarded with news. Most of which is bad. There is little traction for good news. Which, we desperately need. Many of us want to do our part to make this world a better place. But it is hard to feel like we can make a difference…. Read More
“It has long, however, been my opinion, and I have never shrunk from its expression … that the germ of dissolution of our federal government is in the constitution of the federal judiciary; … working like gravity by night and by day, gaining a little today and a little tomorrow, and advancing its noiseless step like a thief, over the field of jurisdiction, until all shall be usurped.” – Thomas Jefferson, letter… Read More
In 2009 my wife and I visited Acadia National Park in Maine for the first time. This is probably my favorite vacation we have ever been on. This trip introduced us to so much natural wonders and scenic views like nothing we have ever seen before. As someone who mostly drives to vacation destinations I think it says a lot when you fall in love with a place so much that you… Read More
Just a short drive could be the key to unlocking photography. I live in an area full of overwhelming natural beauty. I often don’t have to go far to find photography subjects that I love. However, I love to photograph a great many things. And as they say variety is the spice of life. So, I try to mix it up in my photography. Letchworth State Park has a landscape like no… Read More

And the scenery is different depending on when you visit and the seasons. Not to mention this park is quite large. The shear size of the park makes it a challenge to see just the highlights on a day trip. The park deserves a multi day adventure…. Read More

We camped at the Loft Mountain Campgrounds, which I really enjoyed. The campground had a nice combination of foliage and openness. We were often surrounded by wildlife. From the birds constantly flitting about in the bushes surrounding our campsite, to the rabbits along… Read More

Acadia National Park is one of my favorite places to visit. There is so much to see and do there. I don’t often travel to the same place multiple times, because I like to explore as much brand new scenery and have as many brand new experiences as I can. Ricketts Glen State Park is a beautiful park in Pennsylvania that I am only just beginning to explore. The challenge to exploring this park is that it’s most dramatic features are such a draw for me. I love photographing waterfalls. And Ricketts Glen State Park features a trail called the Waterfall Trail. So, most often that is where you will find me if I am at this park. Ricketts Glen State Park… Read More
Taughannock Falls State Park is one of my favorite New York State Parks to photograph. There are a lot of different aspects of this park. It is really easy to overlook something on any given visit. Or you can commit on visit each to an area of the park. Visitor Center Don’t overlook making a stop at the visitor center at this state park. The visitor center was completely rebuilt in recent… Read More
