And we have trees distributed across the yard for birds to move through. We have multiple bird feeders… Read More

One photo a day challenge: Day 24. Today I had the opportunity to get back to one of the kinds of photography I really enjoy. The weather was decent. The sunlight was penetrating the cloud cover. The sun… Read More

Everyone has to start somewhere. In order to start you have to have opportunity. Tanglewood Nature Center was that opportunity for me. Early in my photography Tanglewood was where I could go to see the natural world. It was here I discovered birds. It was here that I began down the path of discovery that lead me to the photography work I do today. Help support Tanglewood Nature Center so others may… Read More

Birding There are plenty of opportunities to see all the birds one normally expects to see. However, The environment there provides habitat that is beneficial to birds that are not commonly seen around town.

One of the best things about nature is that it can quite literally exist anywhere. It is in the smallest things. And it is in the most mundane things. If we just open our eyes we can find nature. When we think of nature our minds often conjure up images of the grandiose. We think of the impressive, expansive nature that often feels too unattainable. In that we often lose the ability… Read More
