One photo a day challenge: Day 170. It has been a very enjoyable vacation. Sad to see it come to an end. Relaxing, reading, campfires, and our dog. Oh and the sunsets. The sunsets were beautiful. Thankfully our vacation closed out with this spectacular view.

One benefit of relaxing and staying in one place on this trip is having multiple opportunities to photograph the same location. Sometimes the same location can look very different at different times of day. Overnight into this morning we experienced a crazy thunderstorm. Wind, rain, thunder, and lightning. Probably the worst storm we’ve experienced while camping. We stayed dry in the tent. But when we emerged everything in our campsite was soggy. Despite putting everything we left out under our canopy. So we spent the day away from our campsite. We arrived at our campsite out in the Adirondacks. We set up and set out to relax. We don’t really do the sit back and relax thing very well for long periods of time. We stayed at our campsite the entire day except when I walked down to take this photo.
