Over the course of the last several days of my one photo a day challenge that I completed in 2021 I was waiting for a flower to bloom. In this image there is a tiny salamander crawling through some synthetic mulch in our yard. I found this salamander to photograph in the spring of 2017. It was during the month of April. One photo a day challenge: Day 360. Having a macro lens is great for exploring small objects. I also love it for exploring textures. I am not sure there are more interesting ways to explore texture than with a macro lens. Especially if you shoot with the macro lens set at an aperture as wide open as it can be. One photo a day challenge: Day 332. I’ve been watching as the geraniums I brought inside continue to grow through the fall. The plants have been growing flower buds. Patiently waiting for the flowers to develop enough to bloom. Finally the geranium flowers are beginning to blossom.
