One Photo A Day | Day 308 | Tiny Potted Flowers
One photo a day challenge: Day 308.
Continuing to explore the flower that remain blooming now that I have moved them inside.
Today I wanted to focus on these teeny tiny flowers that grow on short wispy stems.
These flowers grow in clumps and clusters.
The fact that these individual flower blossoms are tiny will become evident.
Normally when I get as close as I can to a flower with my macro lens it creates one of two types of photos.
For larger flowers, when I get up close the image is usually just a focus on one part of the flower. Like the closest up photo would be of a single flower petal.
For smaller flowers, the close up image is just a single flower blossom.
For these teeny tiny flowers even when I get as close as I can with my macro lens there is still a cluster of a half dozen just in the foreground.
The challenge of this is that with a whole cluster of flowers it is hard to get a photo where all the blossoms are in the same stage of development.
It is even hard to find a group where none of the flower blossoms are wilting or damaged.
