When I have the opportunity I really like to make the most of it. Getting out on an all day adventure to photographs a variety of different subjects. On this particular trip the subject was waterfalls. Not just any waterfalls, but frozen waterfalls. Frozen waterfalls might be the best kind of waterfall. They just look so unique. So, when their weather was cold enough long enough I picked a day and I… Read More

One of my favorite types of photography to pursue is landscape photography. And within that field of photography one of my favorite niches is waterfall photography. There are so many reasons to love waterfalls. But, I am not going to get into every single on of them here in this short post. I often write about waterfall photography so search on my site for waterfalls to learn more.

Water in motion is one of my favorite subjects. Water in motion never presents the exact same image twice. The water keeps moving and flowing, constantly changing. And over time the flow of water can change the entire landscape.

As an artist have you ever had something you have wanted to do but just never gotten around to doing it. It wasn’t a priority at the moment. There didn’t feel like a sense of urgency to get it done now. So we just put it off, and off, and off. That has been me a lot of times. For me that makes enjoying photography a little more challenging. I prefer to photograph nature, but the plain drab scenes during a winter with… Read More

Over the years of photography I have added a few new photography tools to my kit. Each time I add a new tool it is because it serves a specific purpose. A purpose that will hopefully be able to capture new images. I often don’t get out to take photos as much as I would like during the colder months here in New York. So, whenever I have a chance I try… Read More

Acadia National Park is one of my favorite places to visit. There is so much to see and do there. I don’t often travel to the same place multiple times, because I like to explore as much brand new scenery and have as many brand new experiences as I can. But there is just something about Acadia National Park that draws me back. Part of what draws me to Acadia National Park… Read More

Ponds are one of my favorite features to find in a landscape. There is so much you can do with a pond photographically. Ponds also do so much for nature, which I find interesting. We liked the idea of a pond so much that we bought a house with a pond on its property and the pond was a large part of what drew us to our current home. There is a… Read More
