Just Look Around And Observe What Is Around You

It can be a challenge to go out and create photography as often as we would like to. It can be even more challenging to go out and go someplace specific for your photography. But guess what? There isn’t a need to go anywhere to create your photography.
If you are feeling the urge to create some photography it can be as simple as opening your door. Open that door. Smell the fresh air. Walk outside.

There is so much to be seen and photographed just outside our door. And we don’t even consciously think about it. The good news is that the more you take the time to photograph the things just outside your door, the more you will come to appreciate them.
Connect with your yard
The more you notice and appreciate the world that surrounds you right outside your door the more you will come to appreciate your immediate surroundings and environment. This will lead you to enjoy and appreciate y our every day life more. There really is no need to GO anywhere to find that connection.

If you enjoy birds, there aren’t many places in the world where you can open your door and NOT see birds. There are surprising large numbers of birds that are on display all around us even if we don’t notice them. Buy a nice simple bird feeder, hang it up, and enjoy all the bird friends you will make. Oh yeah, and take out your camera now and then too.
Then there is the aspect of life we might take most for granted. The thing that literally supports us more than anything else. Look down at your feet. The ground. It’s right there, and there is so much to discover.

Careful observation
If you take the time to observe everything that is literally underfoot, you might be surprised. There are a lot of things to see down there. Most of them things that draw my attention on the ground are things that create interesting textures.
There are also so many small things that go unnoticed in life. Literally small things. Like tiny insects.
Bugs can be annoying. No one likes a mosquito. But they can also be beautiful. There are also bugs everywhere to photograph. In the dirt. On the plants. Possibly crawling up your wall. Or hiding in the corners. But, if you look around outside they are there waiting to pose for your camera.

Flowers are beautiful, and they are mighty. They can survive and grow just about anywhere. Springing up in the cracks of a sidewalk. Sprawling along the side of a road. Or they can sprout from the spilled sunflower seeds you put out for your bird friends you were photographing.
And now you have a new subject to photograph. The flowers. It doesn’t have to be the picturesque rolling field of flowers. Nor does it have to be the meticulously planned and maintained botanical garden. Look around for those flowers blooming right around you.
