Road Running | STRC St. Pats 5 & 10 | New York
Road races are fun to photograph.
It is great to see so many people out and running the roads all at the same time.
I like using my long lens to photograph road races because I can photograph people form a a distance and keep tracking them as they get closer. I can capture multiple images of one person as they move down the road.
One challenge of photographing a road race is trying to get photos of each of the runners. This is especially difficult if there are large groups of people all together.
This is one thing I like about using a long lens for road races. The fact that I can photograph runners from far away gives me more time to focus on each runner before they get too close and pass me by.
The only thing I don’t like about road races is that it can sometimes be difficult to find a good spot to take photos that also has a nice background for the photos.
