Growing Up On A Pond | Mallard Duckling | New York

One cool aspect of living in a place where there is at least some access to wildlife on a regular basis is you get to see birds nest and having babies.

One of our local parks is a site where Mallard Ducklings can be seen regularly during the time of year when they are hatching.

If I wanted I could probably go to the park every day and photograph the ducklings each day to mark their development.

Photographing the Mallard Ducklings is not really a challenge as far as finding the subject and getting good looks at them goes.

Mallard Ducklings are pretty fearless.

The ducklings will move around wherever they want. The Mallard Ducklings are not really concerned about my presence as a photographer.

The Mallard Ducklings will get pretty close to wherever I am without much hesitation.

Photo details: Nikon D500. Nikon 300mm f/4. Focal length 420. ISO 400. 1/1600 sec. f/5.6.
