This patch of color found on the Red-Winged Blackbird wing is mostly red and sometimes has a yellow portion as well.
One of the most fun things about Red-Winged Blackbirds is that if you like to watch birds these birds will make it a point to come out right where you can see them
The Red-Winged Blackbird will find a perch out in the open during mating season and display for you. Spreading its tail feathers and wings and singing.
It is great fun to watch Red-Winged Blackbirds in the early spring and there is little work required to do it. Just find almost any body of water and you will find Red-Winged Blackbirds.
