One photo a day challenge: Day 318.

Spent some time exploring the the woods around our house today.

I just walked through the woods with no particular intent.

Wondering. Looking. Observing.

Trying to find anything that looked interesting to train my lens on.

Looking for any last bits of autumn colors left on leaves and trees.

There wasn’t much color on leave, but I found some.

But the most colorful sight in the forest today was this bright orange mushroom emerging from under the leaf litter.
