One Photo A Day | Day 182 | Pink Globe Amaranth
One photo a day challenge: Day 182.
I finally got around to planting some flowers we had picked up. I wasn’t entirely sure what I was going to do with them. So for now they are each in randomly selected pots.
As you can probably tell by now if you have been on this blog before, I enjoy photographing flowers.
There was one flower from this newest batch that I particularly wanted to photograph. I wanted to photograph it because it had certain features that I thought would lead to some really nice macro photography.
It is a flower that grows tall narrow stems. Flowering at the top. And the flower is more of a cluster of tiny little flower blossoms.
Each flower cluster is like a small purple spiked ball. Each spike protruding from the center of the cluster is a separate flower head. And each spike terminates with a star like yellow blossom.
I really wanted some close ups of the little yellow blossoms. However, right now, most of the little yellow flowers are spent. I will have to wait for more blossoms to grow before I can really capture the essence of this flower.
