One Photo A Day: Day 9.

Today I knew we would be heading to Ithaca to take our dog to the vet. I planned to stop and create some images while we were in Ithaca.

Sometimes things don’t go as you had hoped. You get worse news than you expected. Then you don’t feel like following through with your plans.

But you do the work. You continue the practice. Because this is what you do. You make art.

You don’t do it because you feel like it. You do it because it is who you are and it is what you do.

I decided to stop at Stewart Park after our vet appointment. I wanted to see if Cayuga Lake was frozen at all.

It was nice to see that it had begun to freeze a bit. The timing was almost perfect. The sun was close to the horizon. The light and color was beautiful. It helped to ease a difficult afternoon.
