The Mastiff is a truly enormous dog.

The sheer size of a Mastiff is hard to come to grips with until you have seen them up close.

They range in sizes but when you see the larger examples of the breed it really puts things into perspective. The weight range for a fully grown male ranges from 160-230 lbs. and the weight range for an adult female is 120-170 lbs.

When you see the immensity of a Mastiff in person you feel like you are in the presence of an animal that would normally be seen in the wild.

I wanted to show an image of a Mastiff paired with their handler to show off the size of these animals. They are truly impressive.

If you are ever considering sharing your home with a Mastiff be sure to invest time into training them well. A dog of this size will go where it wants to go when it wants to even if you are at the other end of the leash unless they are well trained. A Mastiff will literally drag you across the ground at the other end of the leash if you are just trying to hold them back with your physical strength and not through training.
