One Photo A Day | Day 365 | Not Quite Full Bloom

One photo a day challenge: Day 365.

Well We did it. 1 photo a day for 365 days.

That was quite an experience.

I was hoping that this Gerbera Daisy would be in full bloom for the final photo of this project.

And while it wasn’t quite in full bloom I was able to create some interesting photos.

The petals had opened up farther than they were previously.

I was able to see clearly into the center of the photo.

That allowed me to photograph the yellow center in contrast with the red petals.

The cool part about the flower not being in full bloom was that the odd angles created by the petals not being fully open allowed me to shoot between the petals.

I aimed my lens to see between the outer petals and into the center of the flower.

This created out of focus outer row of petals the the yellow center of the flower with the inside of the petals on the other side of the flower.

I like this close up layers perspective.

Photo data: Nikon D500. Nikon 60mm f/2.8. Focal length 60mm. ISO 400. 1/1600 sec. f/3.8.
