Spent a little time photographing the trees here in New York.
This tree was growing just outside the edge of the forest.
In one shot I could compose an image that included the tree trunk, the edge of the forest, and the bright opening of a clearing in the background.
I like how the tree trunk is half in shadow on one side. The dark tree trunk contrasting with the brighter background is a look I like.
