Challenge and Change

We are all going through a challenging time right now. There is a lot of uncertainty. Our daily routines have been disrupted and our way of life is turned upside down. The one thing we all need to remember is that we are all in this together and we need do what we can according to our means to look out for each other during this time.

Here at KRNaturalPhoto I feel very fortunate in this moment as this business is still my side hustle and I have my day job to support me through this. If there is something I can do to help support a member of my community out there during this time please reach out and get in touch with me.
As for my business at KRNaturalPhoto this was planned to be a big year of expansion and growth. I had plans to expand my offerings and provide more services. This new growth was to begin in early spring with photography workshops that I had scheduled. Now this new growth must be pruned back so that the business can continue to grow and be healthy in the future. I will be cancelling the workshops I had already scheduled for this year.
However, you can expect to see these same offerings for workshops next year at the same time of year as they correspond to the annual event of spring bird migration. I will go and set those events up for the future so we can all begin to plan for next spring when we will have all gotten through this time and have all sorts of stories to share.

I will also continue to schedule the other workshops I had been planning for this year. Then if the restrictions required by social distancing continue then I will reschedule those as needed. Sign up for the newsletter here to stay up to date on everything: KRNaturalPhtoo Newsletter
As an artist it is quite the challenge to make a living in the time of social distancing when many ways that artists make a living is through channels that require social gatherings: Art exhibits, sales in local shops, teaching classes, holding workshops, creating portraits, and even online sales through businesses whose production facilities are currently closed. If you are someone who enjoys the arts look and see if your favorite artists have an account on Patreon where you can support them without having to buy something directly from them in person. You will be continuing to support their creative endeavors while they are at home or alone in their studios creating art. If you feel so moved you can support my content creation that I share here and on other social media channels on my Patreon page: KRNaturalPhoto.
Even though my original plans for this spring have been disrupted I am not giving up. I am adapting and changing. I am finding new channels where I can work. I continue to write and create content for my website. I am editing photos. I am submitting photographs for stock usage. I continue working on projects like creating a gallery of all my the different breeds of show dogs I have photographed. I am making updates to my website here and where my photography is available for sale including a page where you can buy photographs where I will donate 50% of the sale price to one of my favorite local not for profits Tanglewood Nature Center. Those photographs are available here: Tanglewood Nature Center Photos.
Hang in there everyone. We will get through this together and we will be stronger than ever before.
