There are a lot of places I like to visit over and over again. They are often nearbby state parks. The area where I live in the Southern Finger LAkes Region of New York is blessed with many beautiful parks.

And even though I turn up at these places time and again over the years it is often around the same times of year. Beaturiful warm ssunny days in summer. Or maybe to see the fall folaige at the park. There are some times of year wher eI just don’t make the rounds as often.

Winter is the time of struggle. There are fewer daylight hours. The weather can be a little inhospitible. It requires a little more planning and preperation.

Can’t just stop on a wim and jump out of the car if you don’t have the proper clothing for a nice winter adventure. So, I really try to make a more concerted effort to visit at least a few places during the winter for some photogrpahy.

I try to make plans to get outside in genreal during the winter now. Get the proper gear so I nolonger have any excuse for why I am not outside in the winter. I have everything I need to spend some time outside in nature during the colder darker months.

Get out and enjoy the winter. See you out there.
