Get That Phone Out And Take All The Photos

I support taking all the photos you can. If you want to take a photo you can take and you should take it. Take photos with whatever camera you have on hand. If you have a smart phone that has a camera then take the photo.
Don’t feel like your photos are not as good because they are taken on a smart phone. What determines the beauty of a photo is not what device they are taken on. What determines the beauty of a photo is what the image itself reveals.

Did the photographer take time with this image? Did they put thought into it? Was care taken when this image was created?
Bad photographs can be taken with the most fancy and expensive photography equipment just as they can be taken with a smart phone camera. Finding the right subject. Thinking about composition. Being ready at the right moment. Being in the right place at the right time. These are the things that help create a beautiful image regardless of what you are using to record the image.

A smart phone is just one tool in the hands of a photographer, artist, or any other person. What you create with it is up to you. What I love about the ever presence of a smart phone is that it allows me to capture all the images that I would otherwise miss.

There are plenty of times I didn’t’ take my regular camera with me or I forgot to take it. Then during the course of that day a beautiful image unfolds before me. Or a special moment happens that I want to remember. And thankfully I have my smart phone with me and I can create an image that will help me form lasting memories and enjoy the beauty of that moment forever.
Use the camera you have. Take all the photos you like.
