Drool Lines | Bulldog | New York

The Bulldog.

I don’t really know what else to say.

I think for most people when you see or hear the word Bulldog an image instantly pops into your head.

Short stocky legs. Thick strong bodies. Large heads. Wrinkled faces. Big Mouths. All Jowls.

Most dogs the height of a Bulldog do not have the thick bodies and legs they have. Short dogs are usually more petite.

Not sure anyone is just carrying around their Bulldog though.

The focus of this photo is on the head and mouth of the Bulldog in the foreground. His big droopy jowls. Notice the long trail of drool hanging down through the bottom of the frame.

I also like that the dog in the background while not the main subject still has enough detail in the dogs face to clearly make out the main features of a Bulldog like that big mouth and droopy jowls.

Photo details: Nikon D300S. Nikon 300mm f/4. Focal length 420mm. ISO 400. 1/1600 sec. f/5.6.
