One photo a day challenge: Day 301.

In addition tot he white background I used in yesterdays photo, I also now have a black background.

It is perfect for table top photography.

Using the black background. How to make it work?

Pair it with a dark subject with bright highlights.

That should make things stand out.

Light it well with Lume Cube lights.

Show the texture and the shades of color.

Use shallow depth of field.

I used this green gourd with light stripes to create this photograph.
