One photo a day challenge: Day 129.

Today I wanted to focus my one photo a day project on one single subject.

I decided to choose one of the flowers we had brought home recently and photograph just that one plant. I selected one that I hadn’t photographed yet.

I brought the flower in and set it on our counter. I turned the lights off in the room I was working in and turned all the other lights in the house on low. Then I set up mu Lume Cube lights to illuminate the flowers.

I used my macro lens so that I could get up close the the area that was being lit. I used a large aperture to maximize the amount of light I could allow into my sensor. I also wanted to have this shallow depth of field.
