One of the reasons I love going to Tanglewood Nature Center is for the opportunities for bird watching that the natural areas there provide.

Birding

There are plenty of opportunities to see all the birds one normally expects to see.

However, The environment there provides habitat that is beneficial to birds that are not commonly seen around town.

Bobolinks are birds that need large open fields and meadows for habitat. Tanglewood provides this type of habitat. I was fortunate to finally see them there recently after years and years of not seeing them after my first sighting.
