My Favorite Pennsylvania State Park: Worlds End State Park

I often talk about how fortunate I am to live where I do. And it is so true. One of the reasons that I love where I live is because it sets me up to be able to visit so many beautiful places. Most people probably live relatively close to one or two beautiful natural lands.
I on the other hand am lucky enough to live in a location that sets me up to visit more than just one beautiful natural location. I am in position to visit beautiful natural areas in two completely different states. Not a luxury most people have. Especially in large states like New York, where I live and our neighbor Pennsylvania.

Living about 15 minutes from the Pennsylvania border gives me access to even more public lands than I ever realized. And I defitinitely never took advantage of that fact until the past decade or so.
Pennsylvania is home to many amazing state parks. Many of which I still haven’t seen. But I have seen enough great places in PA to have a favorite state park.
My favorite state parks in Pennsylvania is Worlds End State Park.
Worlds End State Park is nestled in the Loyalsock State Forest and contains many of the things I look for in outdoor adventures. There are so many things to love about this place. And it has something to offer everyone. People who just want to relax and enjoy nature. Hikers and adventurers. As well as Photographers.

Beautiful forest land with miles and miles of trails to explore. This includes the 60+ mile Loyalsock Trail. There are scenic vistas and beautiful waterfalls in the park and nearby. And there is what to me is the key to the area, the Loyalsock Creek, which is much more like a river to me.
The Loyalsock Creek cuts through the landscape. In some places it has carved a gorge with high stone walls. And in other locations it has spread out along the forest edges with beautiful stone formations in the creek bed. The creek is a great spot for relaxation or recreation.
