Over the next several posts here I want to talk a little about how I became involved in photography. I’ll talk a little about what first got me into photography. Then I will share about the journey I took to get from my first memories of photography through where I am presently.

My discussion will take the form of a few different tracts. I’ll talk about my personal experiences. What interactions in my life guided me to photography and the subjects I photograph. I will also talk about the different types of gear I have used and evolved into using presently and why I use the gear I do. Then I will talk about my present work and my hopes and dreams for the future.

I would love to hear from people telling me what you love about photography. Even if you are not a photographer yourself but you enjoy seeing photography, what do you enjoy about the medium of photography?
