Out For A Hike | Surprise Sighting | New York

I love to go hiking.

My hikes often include a camera hanging over my shoulder.

One of my favorite places to hike and take photos is at our local natural oasis, Tanglewood Nature Center.

There is so much natural beauty to take in there. It is a fun place with a variety of natural scenery and wildlife to take in.

I have been fortunate to see so many different things at this location. But there are always surprises to be had.

On one hike I could hear something moving off in the distance in the woods near the trail I was on.

I couldn’t quite see anything. As it got closer I could see a shadow of what it was but still couldn’t quite make it out.

Then it suddenly emerged from the forest and stared at me.

The srprise find in the woods was a Boxer that seemed to have freed itself from its home and went on a hike of their own. It quickly turned and ran back the way it came. I assumed to go home.

Photo details: Nikon D500. Nikon 300mm f/4. Focal length 420mm. ISO 400. 1/500 sec. f/5.6.
