Light Dark Light | Dark-Eyed Junco (Slate-Colored Junco) | New York
The Dark-Eyed Junco is such a cool little bird.
Simple colors. But makes an impact.
Most of the the feathers covering the body are dark. But the beak and the belly are light colored.
The well lit bird with a glint of light in the eye. Still remains dark. But with good contrast against a lighter scene surrounding the Dark-Eyed Junco.
