One Photo A Day | Day 35 | The Notebook
One photo a day challenge: Day 35.
Today I went for a run for the first time in a little over a week. It seemed like the perfect time to put together two newer pieces of gear for a test run and see if they would really work the way I was hoping.
Unfortunately things did not work out quite the way I had hoped. The gear didn’t quite mesh with my run as well as I had hopped. I was unable to capture any photos.
I still have hope for my gear to photograph runs, but I need to work out the kinks.
Later in the evening I set out to make photographs. I really had no good ideas coming to me for what subject I wanted to photograph. Everything that came to mind was a repeat of something I have done before recently. Normally that’s fine, but for this project I really want to try to do more creative work.
But nothing was popping in my mind.
I was just looking through drawers and cabinets and shelves. Nothing seemed right.

I settled on the humble notebook. A blank notebook I have never even opened. Blank pages like the blank space in my mind where I was searching for ideas.
I had some vague notion of being able to photograph it in some visually appealing way, but I was really unsure if I could actually pull of an interesting photograph of a notebook. What do you think?

This is a pretty interesting image. I don’t usually like abstracts, but this one is somewhat appealing to me, maybe because the color pallet is grey and that’s one of my fave colors. Anyway, good vision.
Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed it. I really wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into with that subject. I didn’t know if I could create an interesting photo with it.
