One photo a day challenge: Day 262.

I have used my macro lens so much this year.

It has been so much fun.

If you love photography and do not have a macro lens, I highly recommend one.

There are so many fun and interesting things to do with them.

Today I stumbled across this grasshopper just sitting on the fence.

The grasshopper stayed there as I was putting away our garden hose.

I figured if the grasshopper is going to stay put through all that then it is meant to be that I photograph it.

I started off shooting the whole body in profile.

Then I moved around to a head on view.

I slowly moved in close and closer.
