Happily Working | Sled Dog | Alaska

Over a decade ago my wife and I took a trip to Alaska. It was the most amazing experience. Highly recommended if you ever have an opportunity.

One of the coolest experiences we had there was meeting real true blue sled dogs.

In the time of year and location we were at there wasn’t a lot of snow. So we got to see how the sled dogs train when there isn’t snow.

The sled dogs train by pulling a large cart on wheels rather then a sled through the snow. We even got to experience it first hand.

We were able to ride in a cart pulled by the sled dogs. It was a very interesting experience.

We got to meet a lot of the sled dogs. And I was able to capture this portrait of one of them. One of my favorite photos from the entire trip.

Photo details: Nikon D50. Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6. Focal length 130mm. ISO 200. 1/500 sec. f/4.5.
